Nintendo will allow past generation downloads for free.

"People sort of picked on us for not prematurely jumping into online or internet gaming," he mused, going on to point out that now the company has more to offer besides online gaming. Harrison then confirmed that past-gen, Nintendo-created titles will indeed be downloadable for free.

Who cares? Nintendo you suck!

I don't think I can stand anymore Mario or Zelda give us something to new.

I'm sure all the geeks have already gone to GameStop to but a $20 deposit on the new PS3 or XBox 360. But if the launch price is $500 then you won't see us with a system anytime soon. We have bills to pay! Holla

Sony PSP Download Service

Sony is developing a new download service specifically targeted at PSP users, according to a report in this week's Marketing magazine. The industry mag says that the service will offer additional content and software updates for games to begin with before being expanded to cover music downloads sometime over the summer. Movies are expected to arrive at some point later.

It is not clear how the PSP specific music offering will work, as Sony already has its Connect website devoted to digital downloads and the PSP can also play any MP3 or ATRAK file already, but Sony is clearly aiming to take on the iPod at its own game. Expect downloading on the movie thanks to the PSP use of wireless hotspots, and that is very exciting.

The PSP gets better and better!

If you’ve been waiting for the flood of PSP media outlets to start, stop waiting. It’s coming. PSPDrive is the latest site to offer PSP downloads for those who don’t want to, uh, play games on it. You get film trailers, comics, strategy guides and podcasts, among others things. Pspdrive.com

Game Boy Micro Eye Strain!

The new tiny Game Boy Micro that Nintendo announced at E3 2005 might come bundled with Play-Yan mp3 and mp4 extension. So you can watch SpongeBob on that tiny ass screen. What is Nintendo thinking about?
This information is from an interesting interview at Gamespot with Nintendo Vice President George Harrison. Play-Yan is a module that enables Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance SP to play MP3 music and MP4 video files stored on an SD-Card. Play-Yan is only available in Japan right now. Play-Asia exports the Play-Yan module for $69.90. Nintendo needs to go the way of Sega and just make games. PS3 Mario anyone?

Post E3

Well E3 is a wrap. We where really impressed by the 50 Cent: Bulletproof and Marc Ecko Getting Up: Contents under pressure games. Both had good game play, smooth and rich animation, and good story lines. Look for both titles to be major sellers during the 4th q.
