Research proves that Game Industry is only 2.5% Black/Latino

The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) has released the results of a survey conducted to find out what the makeup of the game industry's workforce is really like. And it proves with out a doubt that the industry is mostly made up of what make. Only about 2.5% of the gaming development industry is Black or Latino. In order to reach a more diverse market of customers the gaming industry is going to have to become more diverse itself. From the people making the games to those marketing the games.

The results show:
  • Male = 88.5%, Female = 11.5%
  • White = 83.3%, Black = 2.0%, Hispanic/Latino = 2.5%, Asian = 7.5%, Other = 4.7%
  • Heterosexual = 92%, Lesbian/Gay = 2.7%, Bisexual = 2.7%
  • Average age = 31 years
  • Average years in the industry = 5.4 years
  • Percentage of people with disabilities = 13% (e.g., cognitive, mobility, sight,
    etc)
  • More than 80% have a university level education or greater
  • More than 60% of studios claim that obtaining diverse applicants is challenging

Hookers can help out the home team in NFL Blitz: The League

Who would have know that hookers are the new must have items for any The League team. Well anyway controversy is starting to brew over the game and that story mode. In the story mode you can get the help of a happy hooker who will go over to the enemy football team members house and give "special services" that would leave any man tired and weak and unable to play in the next days game. What fun!
